Constitution Of Authority
The Authority shall consist of the following members as per A.P. UDA Act 1975:
  • A Chairman, to be appointed by the Government.
  • A Vice-Chairman, to be appointed by the Government who shall be a whole-time Chief Executive Officer of the Authority.
  • Three members from among the Members of the state Legislature, representing the development area, to be nominated by the Government:
  • Two councilors of the Municipal council of Tirupati to be nominated by the Government.
  • One officer, representing the Municipal Council of Tirupati or the Municipal Administration Department, of the Government, to be nominated by the Government;
  • One officer of the Town Planning Department of the Government, to be nominated by the Government
  • One officer of the Finance Department of the Government to be nominated by the Government.
  • Five other members, to be nominated by the Government.
4. (1) (b) (ii) The Powers and Duties of Officers and Employees:
  1. Chairman: Shall have over all supervision over the affairs of the Authority.
  2. Vice-Chairman: The Vice Chairman is the chief Executive officer of the Authority and exercises all the executive functions of the Authority.
  3. Secretary:
    1. All matters relating to establishment. Monitoring of Schemes & Projects  
    2. Disposal of Houses/ Sites/ Shops/ Office accommodation to the needy public as per the orders of the Government issued from time to time.
  4. Planning Officer: Preparation of Master Plan/ Zonal Development Plans/ Layout Plans and implementation of development control rules and regulations & Project planning
  5.  
  6. Executive Engineer: Execution of Housing and Sites & Services Projects by providing all infrastructure facilities such as roads, drains, electricity and executes all development schemes formulated by the authority. The Executive Engineer accords technical sanction for all works which costs less than Rs.50 lakhs. The Executive Engineer is responsible for / execution of works of his department, and also quality control  
  7. Asst Accounts Officer: Preparation of Monthly Accounts, Annual Accounts, Budget proposals, receipt of amount and payment thereof and behalf of TUDA and preparation of Audit reports and get the account audited through A.G. AP, Hyderabad and all related finance control thereof.  
  8. Horticultural officer: Afforestation and avenue plantation and maintenance and development of parks, nurseries etc.,  
  9. Land Acquisition Officer: Custodian of all assets of TUDA and looks after land acquisition matters.
